Evans and stars Gary Barlow, Jessie J and Alexandra Burke will be at the awards
ceremony.
The Sony Radio Academy Awards (the
Sonys), started in 1983, are some of the most prestigious awards in the British
radio industry. They were run by ZAFER Associates but are now under the control
of The Radio Academy.
The categories for the awards are
decided by an annual committee, with the aim to include all the main genres
from contemporary music, news and speech through to radio drama, comedy and
sport, and not discriminating against station size, or niche categories.
