Prince William & Kate Middleton Royal Wedding 2011 with live webcam

The lovely Catherine Middleton will wed Prince William on April 29 2011, so be part of the celebrations. With ceremonial timings and live webcam you can experience this wonderful event.

Prince William and Kate Middleton became engaged in October 2010 in Kenya, East Africa, during a 10-day trip to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to celebrate William's passing his RAF helicopter search and rescue course.

Clarence House announced the engagement on 16 November 2010. The couple are to marry in Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011. It is customary for royal men to receive a dukedom when they marry; possible dukedoms for William after his marriage are Windsor, Clarence, Cambridge, Sussex, Kendal, Avondale, and Strathearn. As the wife of a royal duke and prince, Middleton would assume the title of duchess.

In Letters Patent dated 21 August 1996 (shortly before the divorce of the Prince and Princess of Wales) it was acknowledged that, "by convention", the wife of a son or grandson of the Sovereign is entitled to the style title or attribute of "Royal Highness". If William were not given a title, then after the wedding, Middleton would by convention (unless explicitly vetoed by the Queen), be known as Her Royal Highness Princess William of Wales taking her husband's first name on marriage (as with Princess Michael of Kent). If, however, William is given a title, Middleton would be known as "Her Royal Highness The Duchess [or other rank if appropriate] of N".

On 16 February 2011, Clarence House announced that Middleton's and William's first royal tour of Canada would take place in July 2011. She was formally introduced to public life on 24 February 2011, two months before the wedding, when she and William attended a lifeboat naming ceremony in Trearddur, North Wales.

Live Liberty Festival Webcam

About Location:

Trafalgar Square is a square in central London, England. With its position in the heart of London, it is a tourist attraction, and one of the most famous squares in the United Kingdom and the world. At its centre is Nelson's Column, which is guarded by four lion statues at its base.

The name commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), a British naval victory of the Napoleonic Wars.

The northern area of the square had been the site of the King's Mews since the time of Edward I, while the southern end was the original Charing Cross, where the Strand from the City met Whitehall, coming north from Westminster. As the midpoint between these twin cities, Charing Cross is to this day considered the heart of London, from which all distances are measured.

In the 1820s the Prince Regent engaged the landscape architect John Nash to redevelop the area. Nash cleared the square as part of his Charing Cross Improvement Scheme. The present architecture of the square is due to Sir Charles Barry and was completed in 1845.

Trafalgar Square is owned by the Queen in Right of the Crown, and managed by the Greater London Authority.

Trafalgar Square ranks as the fourth most popular tourist attraction on Earth with more than fifteen million visitors a year.

Nottinghill Carnival 2010 Live Webcam

One of the biggest street parties of the year, Nottinghill Carnival never fails to impress. Don't miss it this weekend.

This webcam view will be covering the carnival live:

Live Nottinghill webcam

Carnival Background:

The roots of Carnival come from two separate but connected strands. Carnival began in January 1959 in St Pancras Town Hall as a response to the depressing state of race relations at the time. This carnival organised by Claudia Jones (a "Trini") who is widely recognised as 'the Mother of Notting Hill Carnival', was a huge success, despite being held indoors. The London Free School inspired festival was the first organised outside event in August 1966. The prime mover was Rhaune Laslett, who was not aware of the indoor events when she first raised the idea. This was a more diverse Notting Hill event to promote cultural unity but overlapping with earlier events by the involvement of Russ Henderson's steel band who had played at the earlier Claudia Jones events.

By 1976, the event had become definitely Caribbean in flavour, with around 150,000 people attending. However, in that year and several subsequent years, Carnival was marred by riots, in which predominantly Caribbean youths fought with police a target due to the continuous harassment the population felt they were under. During this period, there was considerable coverage of the disorder in the press, which some felt took an unfairly negative and one-sided view of Carnival. For a while it looked as if the event would be banned. Prince Charles was one of the few establishment figures who supported the event.

Live webcam of the red carpet Leicester Square

Film background:

Angelina Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, who is accused of being a KGB sleeper agent, and goes on the run to try to clear her name. While Tom Cruise was initially secured for the lead, the script was ultimately rewritten for Jolie.

Evelyn Salt interrogates a Russian defector, Orlov, who tells her about "Day X", an operation organized by a powerful Russian since the Cold War, which will lead to the destruction of the United States. Orlov mentions that at the funeral of the late Vice President in New York City, the visiting Russian President will be killed by Russian spy Evelyn Salt. Salt, shaken at the accusation, attempts to contact her husband Mike, a German arachnologist, fearing for his safety. Meanwhile, Orlov escapes, prompting Salt to escape — causing the CIA to think she is a spy. She flees to her apartment and finds her husband missing. Salt resumes and grabs essentials as well as a venomous spider. After barely escaping a highway pursuit, Salt takes a bus to New York City. The next morning, she sneaks into the heavily guarded St. Bartholomew's Church where the Vice President's funeral is being held and shoots the Russian President. She then encounters Peabody where she surrenders but escapes the NYPD.

London Movie Premiere of horror flick The Human Centipede

I know, it sounds like the latest cartoon release, but for all you horror buffs out there, the film The Human Centipede enjoying it's premiere at the Apollo in London, at Piccadilly Circus is actually a new addition to the horror genre. Released to the public today.

This live view from outside the cinema will capture the stars arriving:

Live Apollo webcam

Film background:

The Human Centipede (First Sequence) is a 2010 Dutch horror film written and directed by Tom Six. It stars Dieter Laser, Ashley C. Williams, Ashlynn Yennie, and Akihiro Kitamura. The film tells the story of a German doctor who kidnaps three tourists and joins them surgically, forming a "human centipede". Having completed the operation, the doctor begins training the centipede, while attempting to hide his actions from the attention of the outside world.

The concept of the film arose from a joke Tom Six made with friends about punishing child molesters by stitching their mouth to the rear of a fat truck driver. The financiers of The Human Centipede did not discover the full nature of the film until it was complete.

The Human Centipede received mixed reviews but several accolades at various international film festivals. The film was released in the United States on Video on Demand on April 28, 2010, and in limited release theatrically on April 30. Tom Six began working on a sequel, The Human Centipede (Full Sequence) which will be released in 2011.
