About Rome: The Rome New Years Eve festivities, just like those in Venice, Naples, Bologna, and other cities throughout Italy center around people celebrating together. This is a very important component of Italian culture in general. Families and friends for the most part are very close to one another so it comes as no surprise that the New Year in Milan should be celebrated with those closest to you. In many of the small towns where there is no central public fireworks display or celebration, people will simply build a bonfire and the dancing and drinking can tend to last into the early morning hours. About AGT:

America's Got Talent (also known as AGT) is an American reality television series on the NBC television network, and part of the Got Talent series. The show debuted in June 2006 for the summer television season. Starting in the third season, the Talent top prize included US$1 million, payable in a financial annuity over forty years (or the present cash value of such annuity), and a show as the headliner on the Las Vegas Strip.

Among its significant features were that it gave an opportunity to talented amateurs or unknown performers, with the results decided by an audience vote. The format is a popular one and has often been reworked for television in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The current incarnation was created by Simon Cowell, and was originally due to be a 2005 British series called Paul O'Grady's Got Talent but was postponed due to O'Grady's acrimonious split with broadcaster ITV. As such, the American version became the first full series of the Got Talent franchise.

Despite being heavily involved in the show's production, Simon Cowell does not appear as a judge. This is due to the conditions of his contract with FOX. However he does appear as a judge on Britain's Got Talent.

Bremen Freimarkt 2010 Live from Germany

The Bremem Freimarkt is an annual fair and folk festival which brings live music, dancing, a massive funfair and a lot of beer drinking (think hectoliter – 100 litres) to the German City of Bremen.

Oktoberfest 2010 Canada

This weekend sees the start of Oktoberfest 2010 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario in Canada. With all the Bavarian spirit of the event, there is lots on, including parades and activities throughout this 9 day event.

Not forgetting the huge thanksgiving parade with bands, floats, traditional dancers etc!
