About Vanessa's New Album: According to Carlton, she chose the title for the symbolism often depicted by rabbits – 'time slipping, mind floating' – which is something she has been relating to for the past few years. She also mentioned that the record is under the process of layering the songs with strings.
On February 28, 2011, Carlton announced via Twitter that Rabbits on the Run will be released on June 21, 2011 under Razor & Tie. On April 3, 2011, Carlton announced via Twitter that the first single from the album will be "Carousel." The single was released digitally on May 3, 2011.
